#PlightOfWomenAndChildrenInIIOJK

Women and children in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir are the worst victims of Indian state terrorism.

the killings of innocent Kashmiris by Indian troops from January 1989 till 30 November 2023 have rendered as many as 22,968 women widowed and 107,941 children orphaned in occupied Kashmir.

Kashmiri women and children are being targeted during violent cordon and search operations in the territory. Indian troops are routinely subjecting the women to sexual harassment. The troops have raped 11,259 women since January 1989 till date in IIOJK.

Thousands of Kashmiri children have also been killed and hundreds lost their eyesight due to the firing of pellets by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir in the last 34 years.

The root cause of the sufferings of Kashmiri women and children is Indian illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir but the international rights organizations have become mute spectators to their plight.

It is time that the world community must hold India accountable for its crimes against women and children in the territory.
