The Congress chapter in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has taken a dig at the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) led Indian government for peddling blatant lies of peace and normalcy in the territory.

This was stated by Congress Working Committee member Tariq Hameed Karra during an extra ordinary meeting of elected members of party’s IIOJK chapter held at its headquarters in Srinagar.

Tariq Hameed
said one hand the BJP government is blowing trumpet of normalisation in IIOJK, but when it comes to so-called elections the same trumpet blowers try to take refuge in saying that the elections will be held at an appropriate time after normalisation of the situation, thereby admitting that the normalisation is yet to return. He added that everyone understands that their slogan mongering is just a facade.

Tariq Hameed also highlighted the issues regarding arbitrary harassment and arrests of religious scholars, fruit growers, agitating employees, ever increasing sense of insecurities amongst religious minorities and ever increasing despair amongst unemployed youths.
